Carrington “Cab” Garrett President/CEO Carrington "Cab" Garrett is one the Executive Search industry's most innovative pioneers. His dedication to customer satisfaction is now legendary in Southern California, where he established his firm in 1973. After graduating from college and serving a stint in the US Army, he began his career in insurance sales and became aware of the growing opportunity in the staffing industry. He joined Management Recruiters (MRI) in 1969, where he quickly became a Senior Manager, opening MRI offices in Orange County and San Diego. He saw the value of not just placing candidates in jobs, but in building solid relationships from which future business would spring. Eager to own his own business, he went on to open his own Dunhill agency, growing it into two locations employing over 30 people, and eventually becoming one of the most successful Dunhill franchisees in the early and mid 1970's. He sold that business and established Carrington Garrett Executive Search in Orange County in 1973. Cab has built the company around firm principles. Strong Client and Candidate relationships, responsiveness to client needs, confidentiality and discretion have produced one of the longest-established search businesses in Orange County. Cab has worked with many of Southern California's leading corporations and executives over the years, including Western Digital, SAT Research, PICK Systems, BASIC4, Hughes Electronics, Hitachi, IBM and countless others.
